Home Working

Introduction

It is still difficult to process how, in such a short space of time, there have been so many changes to the way we are all living our lives. However, the special community of staff, children and parents that make up the ‘Eastnor Family’ is as strong as ever!

I know the teachers have been in touch with all of our families regularly, and that they have set some wonderful home learning activities for the children (and hopefully parents!) to enjoy. It is very uplifting to look at the photos of the children – and sometimes younger siblings too! – who have been working hard or simply enjoying some special family time. Please see the links to the special weekly 'Home Learning' newsletters which will showcase what different classes from across school have been up to!

I am amazed at the opportunities you are giving the children. Everything you are doing is learning: cooking, gardening, whittling in a wood, maths, spellings, reading, playing with Lego and climbing trees. Remember not to worry too much as I know you will be getting it right. We are in this together now just as we will be when we come out of it the other side.

In this section of the website you will find some further information that might be useful during this unprecedented time. There are links to some excellent websites which will enhance home learning, links to the most up-to-date documents from the Department for Education, and important reminders about safeguarding the whole school community.

I cannot wait to see you all again very soon.

Stay safe, healthy and happy everyone!

Mrs Driscoll
