Admissions

Eastnor C of E Primary school is a single form entry school which welcomes approximately 12 children each year. We hold an Open Day each year so that prospective parents can visit the school and talk to staff, pupils and parents. The head teacher is also happy to arrange visits to the school throughout the school year by prior appointment.

Children can be admitted into the school from the September of the academic year in which their fifth birthday occurs in accordance with the conditions of the County Admissions Policy. Applications must be made by parents/carers direct to Herefordshire County Council regardless of existing catchment areas. If there are more applications received than places available at our school, then the County Admissions Officer will apply oversubscription criteria to decide which children can be allocated a place.

We welcome children up to the age of 11 who are moving from other schools up to the published admission numbers for each year group. Please phone the school office for the relevant information and to arrange a visit to the school.

Please note that admissions into our Reception Class, and in year transfers from other schools, are arranged by Herefordshire’s Education Admissions Department. In allocating places the Council will follow the published criteria – found in the Admissions and Transfers booklet.

If you are not successful in securing a place at our school then you can consider going through an appeals process which is outlined in the Admissions document
